As the overarching network for grantmaking across the state, IPA is a community of foundations, companies, and other social investors working together to lead change, increase impact, and improve outcomes for Hoosiers. The state's official public arts agency ensures that quality arts experiences are accessible to every resident in Indiana. Through its programs and services, the IAC funds and supports arts experiences, arts education, and the arts economy to enhance the quality of life for Indiana's people and places. It serves as the primary gateway for artists and organizations seeking state-level recognition, research data, and public advocacy resources to strengthen Indiana’s people and communities.
Operating directly at the heart of our city, the Indy Arts Council believes every resident should experience arts and culture in a way that nourishes and inspires them. They represent the boots-on-the-ground support system for Indianapolis creatives, arts organizations, and the community. IAC focuses on local impact—including city-funded grant programs, public art commissions, local fellowships, and community equity initiatives. It is the essential starting point for individual artists and grassroots organizations looking to thrive within Marion County.
